Make a Child Smile this Xmas Print E-mail

Joy at the Salvation Army shop in Puerto Pollensa tells me there has been very little response to her appeal for generous folk to bring a smile to the faces of needy children at the Llar de Menores home in Palma.
Can you take the time to fill a shoebox with presents for one of the children? Salvatex need 175 boxes to ensure none of the children go without at least something to open this Christmas. You don't have to spend a lot of money, just put the presents in the box, wrap it in Christmas paper and take it along to the shop in Calle Mendez Nuñez, Puerto Pollensa. But you do need to talk to Joy first (Tel: 971 865 861 or 638 941 796) so that she can keep a list of what age groups are covered, and whether the presents are for a boy or girl.

The shop is open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 1pm on Saturdays. If just one in ten Talk of the North readers respond to this appeal, Salvatex will have more than enough presents to go round! Thank you.
