The north of Mallorca is lucky to have more than it’s fair share of talented musicians, both local and foreign. Indeed, it is undoubtedly the quality of Mallorcan musicians which has attracted many other performers to the area.
Now John and wife Mel have come to live in Mallorca, and local audiences have the opportunity to hear an authentic Rhythm and Blues man playing live. John proved very popular at Trotter’s Bar in Puerto Pollensa last week with his mix of Eagles, Clapton and Willy Nelson numbers, plus a dash of Latin salsa and Flamenco. It was so good, I bought the CD! |

John Lynam, pictured left, began his musical career in the early 70s with the Daniel Boone Band, a group who supported such greats as Free, Family and Manfred Mann. And by the age of 21 John was jamming with many other household names, such as Led Zeppelin, Johnny Winter, Rory Gallagher and Buddy Miles. He has also toured with Thin Lizzy, Caravan and the Moody Blues.
