Actually, Lorna and Stevie Fletcher have been working hard in their bar in Puerto Pollensa for nearly two months now, but there was cause for some celebration last week when the new signs and canopies were all erected and the establishment changed over completely from its previous existence as the Edregole Tavern (ET’s) to Fletchers.

Lorna, Stevie and Stevie’s dad Eddie, pictured left, are from Blantyre in Scotland and made the move to Mallorca this summer after visiting Puerto Pollensa on holiday for several years. It’s a full family affair, too, with peak season help from the couple’s two sons and Lorna’s sister Jean.

Added to that, many a Scottish holidaymaker did a double-take in August when they saw son Ryan behind the bar since Ryan is well-known to viewers as a regular actor in the Scottish soap River City.

Fletchers shows all the best sporting action on its big screen and also has regular live music nights on Friday — another way that Ryan helped out since he not only acts but plays the guitar and sings.
