In an elegant private setting within the walls of old Alcudia, a buffet luncheon was held recently in honour of Don Gonzalo Gonzalez, pictured right reading a farewell card, who has retired as senior teacher of Castiliano Spanish to foreigners at Alcudia’s Adult Education School.

Actually, Lorna and Stevie Fletcher have been working hard in their bar in Puerto Pollensa for nearly two months now, but there was cause for some celebration last week when the new signs and canopies were all erected and the establishment changed over completely from its previous existence as the Edregole Tavern (ET’s) to Fletchers.
